_________________________________________________________________A Note From the Chair of the Hospital Board

Dear friends,

It is said that a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step.

We at AIC Kijabe Hospital (KH) have come a long way since the hospital was started many years ago. There are many projects that have been realized recently, such as a modern ICU, BethanyKids at Kijabe Hospital (BKKH), AIDS Relief Project and the development of Marira Clinic near the
main Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.

The Operating Board will always endeavour to help in achieving KH’s Mission Statement and Motto. We trust in God because the journey we take is very important and because it is in the journey we are perfected; it is in the journey we grow strong.

We all know God is at work at KH when we see lives changed because of the Christian touch extended to patients, when people are healed, when workers’ joy is transferred to patients through smiles and when people receive good healthcare. But most of all, we stand in awe of what God is
doing for His own honour and glory.

Working collaboratively by building a team spirit, we are continuing to build quality improvement initiatives. There are many examples of existing projects as mentioned earlier that are opening doors to new opportunities of service and witness. Through this Annual Report we hope to provide
you with a visual aid of KH’s healthcare ministry and invite your participation in the important journey of achieving our Mission Statement and Motto.
